Nexeon's production facility in Gunsan, South Korea, has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, internationally recognised as the benchmark standard for quality management systems.
The certification marks an important milestone in the development of Nexeon’s Gunsan operation, and reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering consistently high quality silicon-carbon materials to leading battery cell manufacturers and automotive customers.
Nexeon’s Gunsan facility is the company’s first commercial-scale production plant, and was announced as production ready in December 2025. It is designed for the volume manufacture of Nexeon’s advanced silicon-carbon anode materials, supporting the company’s growing pipeline of global OEM and battery manufacturer customers.
ISO 9001 certification demonstrates that the Gunsan operation has established and implemented a comprehensive quality management system covering key aspects of manufacturing, quality control, process management and continuous improvement. It provides customers with confidence that Nexeon has the systems and processes in place to deliver consistent product quality as production scales.

The Gunsan facility benefits from a strategically located supply chain, including direct access to monosilane, a critical precursor for Nexeon’s silicon-carbon materials. Its location also provides proximity to major Asian battery manufacturers and supports efficient integration into established battery supply chains.
The plant has been designed to enable Nexeon to expand capacity through the systematic addition of reactors as customer demand grows. This provides a scalable platform for the company’s transition to high-volume production, and supports its position as a leading global supplier of silicon-based anode materials.
Nexeon is continuing to progress customer production qualification programmes under rigorous automotive quality standards. The ISO 9001 certification provides a strong foundation for this next phase of commercialisation.
